Dry Active Yeast

Jen’s Notes: For best results use warm water. Tested on the inside of the wrist, it should feel warm, not hot. If measuring cup or bowl is cool, rinse in hot water before using.

DRY ACTIVE YEAST: Thoroughly dissolve 1 tsp. sugar in ½ cup of warm water or liquid called for in recipe. Add 2 1/4 tsps. yeast, stir gently, cover, and allow to stand for 10 minutes. Use as directed in your recipe. (Remember that you have used ½ cup of the liquid called for in the recipe already)
